This is a computer based Vehicle Tracking System which uses a GPS to determine the location and transmits this data using GSM-GPRS network  to a central server and displays the detailed location information on to a map with the help of GIS map engine. The GPS transmits the vehicle location data to the central server at defined regular intervals and the GIS then converts this into detailed address and displays it over a map which could be further used in generating Reports for decision making or the complete system could be integrated with "Fleet Management system".
